Asks the Commission in cooperation with individual newsrooms and audiovisual services of all the European institutions, in particular with that of the European Parliament, to invest in and develop new and improved communication strategies designed to increase pluralistic national coverage of EU affairs and European news;

Stresses that by providing increased pluralistic coverage of EU news, respecting cultural diversity of individual Member States and by using tools such as communication, media, social media, interactive platforms to their full potential will help bring closer and connect better EU citizens to EU affairs by helping individuals to form and share opinions, make informed decisions and contribute by means of critical engagement in the positive reformation and development of the EU;
