Underlines the key role that the EU should play in supporting research, innovation and development, as well as in scaling up new technologies to help address methane emissions from livestock agriculture, e.g. through feed additives for ruminants and improved processing of manure, while protecting animal health and welfare; points especially to the need for multigenerational studies on feed additives; points in particular to the need for multi-generation studies of feed additives;
