Recalls that the tourism sector is a major economic activity in the European Union with a wide-ranging impact on economic growth, employment, and social development; regrets that the wide range of funding programmes financed by the EU budget and Next Generation EU constitutes a difficult system for PMI in primis; reiterates Parliament’s request for the creation of a specific programme on sustainable Union-wide tourism of a specific budget line that reflects both the importance of the sector in the Union economy and its needs;
