Notes with deep concern the stalling progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and the estimated annual SDG financing gap of USD 3,7 trillion; insists that the MFF revision needs to contribute to a wider plan to finance the SDGs and include clearly defined quantifiable targets allowing for the monitoring of SDG-related spending under the EU budget;

Notes that the global humanitarian funding gap continues to grow, currently standing at USD 36.9 billion – the highest ever; stresses that the humanitarian aid instrument must receive significantly more funding in the revised MFF to match the EU’s ambition to be a leading humanitarian donor and lead by example in encouraging other donors to increase their financial contribution to humanitarian aid;
