Notes that because, in mostin some cases, renewable sources feeding energy into the grid are decentralised, remotely located and weather-dependent, however, underlines that some renewable energy sources such as geothermal, biomass and hydropower can balance variable energy sources and therefore alleviate the need for additional grid infrastructure; they require infrastructure different from that currently in place, the existing provision having been developed solely for conventional energy;
