8. Recalls the particular problems facly severe discrimination suffered by the women ofin Afghanistan under the Taliban regime and subsequently, and observes that cultural attitudes built up at that time can only gradually be changed; calls on the Commission to take into account gender aspect; condemns any legal, cultural and religious practice that discriminates against women, excluding them from public and political life and segregating them in their daily lives; urges the Commission to combat these practices in all its development actions in the country;
