Notes the pivotal role of EU flagship programmes such as Horizon 2020, COSME and the Connecting Europe Facility; calls for more substantial resources to be mobilised in order to boost the green economy as a key driver for future competitiveness and resilience; stresses that appropriate allocation of funds is crucial to increase energy security of the EU by introducing new infrastructure and new technologies.
