Considers that the Trust Fund for Africa represents an important tool to provide a swift, flexible and targeted response to emerging challenges and underlines that common, global challenges, such as migration and forced displacement, the impact of climate change and economic crises in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, make this flexibility and rapidity more necessary than ever; regrets, however, that despite it proved to be a flexible tool for providing assistance, its objectives are too broad; calls on the Commission to put in place mechanisms to better evaluate the extent to which it has met its objectives;
