Article 16la 1. To restore the ecosystem and protect vulnerable species, Member States shall designate areas that are temporarily closed to fisheries if the fishing logbooks show that there are unintended bycatches of species included in the IUCN Red List in these areas. Designation of these fishing-free areas shall be coordinated by the Commission 2.
