Considers that the EU should implement the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) through the Union Emissions Trading System (ETS), while allowing for 50 % of the journeys to be excluded, provided that the destination is implementing CORSIA through national measures; proposes that the EU ETS should be retained for flights within the European Economic Area (EEA); but in this respect calls the EC to review the EU ETS for the post-2020 period once there will be more clarity about the implementation of the GMBM
