4. Underlines that the COVID-19 pandemic continued to have a heavy impact on learners, teachers, young people, cultural professionals and athletes in 2021; acknowledges the Commission’s adoption in June 2021 of a Communication on EU guidelines on the safe resumption of activities in the cultural and creative sectors, which aimed to support the coordinated reopening of the cultural sector in Europe;

Welcomes DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture’s introduction in 2021 of a new internal reporting tool that allows National Agencies to detect more easily double submission, double funding and accreditation plagiarism.; encourages DG EAC and DG CNECT to continue offering anti-fraud and data protection training for staff, targeting especially newcomers, and entrusted bodies, and to make attendance in such trainings mandatory;
