Stresses the need to deepen the single market, opening up for new completion and freedom of establishment in all sectors, underlines the need for structural reforms and fiscal consolidation in the framework of the Stability and Growth Pact, calls upon Commission that the credibility of the SGP is restored by securing that all member states follow the rules instead of calling for new rules and new institutions;

Calls on the Commission to take more ambitious steps to eliminate illegitimate obstacles to online competition, in order to ensure barrier- free online shopping for EU consumers purchasing from sellers who are based in another Member State, while at the same time not creating new barriers caused by existing variations in consumer law;
