Calls on the Member States and regional and local authorities to put in place legal provisions to protect tenants and owner-occupiers from eviction and to ensure security of tenure by favouring long-term rental contracts as the default option, together with rent transparency and rent control meas, including clear rental regulations, to protect the rights of tenants and owner-occupiers and prevent evictions, also after renovation measures and including those living in a dwelling alienated from the state during restitution process and to ensure security of tenure by favouring long-term rental contracts as the default option, together with rent transparency and rent control measures provide support for organisations working on the protection of tenants and owner- occupiers and to set up low-threshold legal dispute settlement procedures;
