Reiterates its strong support for the goal outlined in the Commission’s Green Deal regarding the introduction of a Carbon Border Adjustment mechanism; urges the Commission to ensure WTO- compatibility for such mechanism; calls on the Commission to bring this reform forward as part of the Commission Work Program for 2020; underlines that all reorientations in the EU trade policy must be consistent with the EU’s industrial strategy under the prerogative of realizing the Green Deal;
