Underlines that the EU and countries in the Western Balkans, Turkey, the Gulf countries and other Arab States should make joined efforts to fight against radicalisation and recruitment, to trace terrorist financing and to develop a new narrative against Islamist fundamentalism; stresses that counterterrorism cooperation and information sharing should be a key element in EU relations with those countries; emphasises that it is also essential to strengthen such cooperation with regional organisations such as the Arab League, the African Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council;
