  PURPOSE: to codify Council Regulation 2730/75/EC on glucose and lactose.PROPOSED ACT: Council Regulation.CONTENT: the purpose of this proposal is to undertake a codification of Council Regulation 2730/75/EC on glucose and lactose. Given that no changes of substance may be made to the instruments affected by codification, the European Parliament, Council and Commission, in accordance with a 1994 inter-institutional agreement, have agreed that an accelerated procedure may be used to fast-track adoption of the proposed codification.The new Regulation will supersede the various acts incorporated in it. This proposal fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bring them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
