The resolution\n was tabled by the S&D, EFD, Greens/ALE, ALDE, and EPP groups.
The resolution\n states that Articles 81 and 82 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the\n European Union provide for the adoption, under the ordinary legislative\n procedure, of measures aimed at ensuring support for the training of the\n judiciary and judicial staff.
Parliament\n welcomes the Commission’s prompt response to the suggestions set out in its resolution\n of 25 November 2009 o the Stockholm programme.
It calls on\n the Commission and the Council to ensure that Parliament is fully involved in\n the conception and approval of arrangements for judicial training, in\n particular the pilot projects envisaged in the Commission's action plan.
Parliament\n considers that the proposed pilot projects should not be restricted, as far\n as members of the judiciary are concerned, to \"Erasmus-style\"\n exchange programmes. It calls on the Commission to commence its\n consultations, in particular of Parliament, with a view to the design and\n preparation of the future pilot projects as soon as possible.
