The European Parliament adopted by 566 votes to 61,\nwith 66 abstentions, a decision proposing the appointment of Luigi\nBerlinguer to the panel set up under Article 255 of the Treaty on\nthe Functioning of the European Union.
\nPURPOSE: to appoint members of the panel provided for\nin Article 255 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European\nUnion.
\nNON-LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Decision 2014/76/EU\nappointing the members of the panel provided for in Article 255 of\nthe Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
\nCONTENT: a panel was set up pursuant to the first\nparagraph of Article 255 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the\nEuropean Union, in order to give an opinion on candidates\nsuitability to perform the duties of Judge and Advocate-General of\nthe Court of Justice and the General Court before the\nGovernments of the Member States make the appointments.
\nThe panel is to comprise seven persons chosen from\namong former members of the Court of Justice and the General Court,\nmembers of national supreme courts and lawyers of recognised\ncompetence, one of whom is to be proposed by the European\nParliament.
\nUnder this Decision and for a period of four years\nfrom 1 March 2014, the following shall be appointed members of\nthe panel provided for in Article 255 of the Treaty on the\nFunctioning of the European Union:
\nENTRY INTO FORCE: 01.03.2014.
