Regrets that Georgia becomes aware of new or updated EU acquis they have committed to transpose under the DCFTA only after it has entered into force in the EU; considers that involving Georgian authorities from the stage of drafting relevant legislation would be useful in order to make the process more inclusive and to reduce transition costs for Georgia and calls on the European Commission to set up an ex-ante consultation process;
