International solidarity has led her to visit Palestine, Frankfurt to protest against the ECB, Donbass, Hamburg to protest against the G20, and Ankara in support of Kurdish political prisoners. At the European Parliament, as a member of the Committee on International Trade, she has mainly concerned herself with combating free trade agreements between the EU, USA and Canada, such as TTIP and CETA, and she was rapporteur for the report on human rights and international trade. Seeks to act as a spokesperson for contemporary approaches to the issue of the southern regions, which concerns the whole of southern Europe, resisting the Fiscal Compact and neoliberal agreements which have deprived the people of power in Europe.
