The data flows shall be as further specified in Annex I(2a) In Article 5, paragraph 2 is replaced by the following: The statistics to be produced shall aggregate flows of information on a basis of complete and reliable sources of data.

(2a) The following Article is inserted: Article 9a 1. The Commission, after consulting the CMFB, shall initiate pilot studies related to FDI statistics on an ultimate beneficiary ownership concept and distinguishing greenfield FDI from takeovers. The purpose of such pilot studies shall be to assess the feasibility and costs of the related data collection and the implied statistical quality and cross country comparability. 2. By 2019, the Commission (Eurostat) shall prepare a report to the European Parliament and Council evaluating the findings of the pilot studies compared to the ultimate beneficiary ownership concept and the distinction between greenfield FDI and takeovers as developed by the international cooperation. 3. The data flows shall be as further specified in Annex I.

6. A delegated act adopted pursuant to Article 2(3), shall enter into force only if no objection has been expressed either by the European Parliament or the Council within a period of twohree months of notification of that act to the European Parliament and the Council or if, before the expiry of that period, the European Parliament and the Council have both informed the Commission that they will not object. That period shall be extended by twohree months at the initiative of the European Parliament or the Council.
