Highlights the importance of close cooperation between agencies; points out existing good practices of synergy effects among agencies, such as memoranda of understandings and related annual action plans, joint research projects, peer review of draft research reports, exchange on survey methodology and prior consultation on working programmes, in order to avoid overlapping and repetition of activities;
