Supports the approach of reducing controls in Member States where error rates have been extremely low over a given period; calls at the same time, however, for controls to be stepped up in Member States where the error rate is high or increasing . Instead of ‘naming and shaming’ calls the Commission and the Member States to provide support to beneficiaries in order to rectify errors;
