Considers that the protection of non- agricultural GIs at EU level would be a positive signal for the ongoing discussions on GIs at multilateral level, that it would strengthen the EU’s hand in calling for an increase in the standard level of protection applying to all products and that it is fully in line with the TRIPS Agreement;
