Stresses the importance of coming up with consistent economic and industrial development strategies, in which aims such as further boosting the production and use of electric vehicles are matched by the deployment of resources for achieving them, in terms of infrastructure and usage-related components such as batteries - an aspect on which the Commission and Member States could also focus their attention with a view to drafting an EU battery production strategy;
