Stresses the importance of promoting measures to balance work and family life and to help mothers to return to the labour market, so that they do not have to give up their careers or take career breaks, while encouraging the assumption of domestic responsibilities as far as possible by fathers, who otherwise generally tend to put professional concerns first, while mothers are more taken up with the problems of family life;
