For the purpose of paragraph 1 points (b) and (c), ‘mutual fund’ shall mean a scheme accredited by the Member State in accordance with its national law for affiliated farmers to insure themselves, whereby compensation payments are made to affiliated farmers affected byfor economic losses caused by the outbreak of an animal or plant disease or of adverse climatic events or pest infestation or an environmental incident or experiencing a severe drop in their income.
