Draws attention toNotes that regional disparities and imbalances in SMEs’ access to funding from national promotional banks, EU funded programmes and other private and public funding institutions; calls for a correction mechanism at EU level to ensure a level playing field for all SMEs – with special focus on poorer regions and on countries that have been under financial and economic constraints – in accessing funding from EU- supported financial instruments while using intermediaries exist;
