Considers that no action was taken so far by the Commission to address the abusive clauses and practices used by the banking sector in consumer contracts; calls on the Commission to take effective measures towards prevention and their elimination, especially on those Member States with systematic infringement of the Directive 93/13/EEC, in order to guarantee the full compliance of the Directive by national authorities;
