Draws the attention of the Commission to the fact that any deprivation of Intellectual Property Rights – such as banning the use of trademarks – needs to be justified on scientific grounds also having regard to consumers' protection, that any deprivation may not be excessive or disproportionate and that trademarks need to have equal protection throughout Europe.
