Takes the view that the Member States should, as a matter of urgency, take steps towards phasing out low-temperature furnaces used for the combustion of solid fuels and organic waste, which, during the combustion process, release into the atmosphere carcinogenic substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (benzopyrene, etc.); Takes the view that the use of wood-burning fireplaces in densely built towns and cities should be banned;
