Points out that the digitalisation process has not been beneficial to the same extent throughout the transport sector, which has created a detrimental fragmentation within the internal market both between different modes of transport and within the same mode; believes that developing a coordinated Industrial Digitalisation Strategy (IDS) for the EU could help overcome this fragmentation and attract investment in digital projects; notes that intelligent transport systems contribute to mobility and tourism sector development;
