Considers that in order to maximise sustainable economic growth and employment and the creation of jobs based on blue technologies, exchanges of ideas between the world of research and that of business should be encouraged, to promote and increase their ability to cooperate and network; recalls, however, that major differences exist in the levels of development of coasts and the use made of them in different Member States; calls for these differences to be taken into account and respected. .
