Underlines the role of the Structural Reform Support Programme (SRSP) in supporting tailor-made assistance in order to help Member States carry out their reforms; stresses, in this respect, the importance of continued structural reforms at all levels of government and the removal of red tape surrounding ongoing investments so as to help improve the business and investment environments.; recalls that resources from cohesion policy have been transferred to the SRSP without binding SRSP measures to the objectives and scope of action of cohesion policy;

Notes that the Commission, in its EMU package, proposes again to transfer cohesion policy resources towards measures linked to the European Semester when establishing a new reform delivery tool; is of the opinion that there is no clear demarcation line between the actions supported under the SRSP and those under the new tool; rejects the attempt from the Commission to deviate once again cohesion policy resources towards new instruments;
