Reiterates the important role of the Agency in protecting and promoting public and animal health by assessing and supervising medicines for human or veterinary use, and emphasises, in that connection, that the Agency must pay close attention to the findings of independent and reliable scientific analyses and that a failure to do so may give rise to serious risks to public health in the EU;
