Recalls that the Centre’s mission is to identify, assess and publicise current and emerging threats to human health from communicable diseases; stresses in this regard that rising flows of goods and people lead to the spread of pathogens and diseases in regions that had previously been free of them; calls on the Centre to raise the awareness of all EU institutions and Member States of this issue;
