Stresses the importance of ensuring development effectiveness and results; believes that the implementation of the agreement requires substantial and sustainable mobilisation of financial resources; welcomes, therefore, the recognition that the means of cooperation should be diversified, encompassing a range of policies and instruments from all available sources and actors, and points out that development funding cannot be limited to official development assistance alone, but should involve in particular the private sector and direct money transfers by emigrants and diaspora communities (‘remittances’);
