Takes note ofRegrets the proposal of internalisation of chauffeur service replacing the external service provider with Parliament's contractual agents, which will correspond to approximately EUR 2,73 million of immediate additional expenses; considers that a well organised external contract concluded pursuant to applicable public procurement rules, where the external service provider is clearly obliged to take responsibility for security and background checks as well as for decent working conditions and pay, would be a preferable alternative; believes in any case that the chauffeur service should only be provided to/from the airport/railway station to the place of work; considers that every other travel should be privately arranged by MEPs;
