Believes that global data flows are vital to international trade and economic growth and the European Commission Initiative on the free flow of data, should enable companies operating in Europe, particularly in the growing cloud computing sector, to be in the forefront of the global innovation race; Stresses that the Initiative should also aim to lift any arbitrary restrictions on where companies should locate infrastructure or store data as these will hamper the development of Europe's economy;
