Believes that the EU institutions should have suitable procedures at their disposal for governance and control in respect of new types of financial product; draws attention to the fact that all innovative products on the financial services market are unpredictable as regards their effects on consumers, the market and the system as a whole; considers that, in these circumstances, the authorities should subject such activity to the appropriate supervision;
