Stresses that lockdown has had a considerable impact on mobility demand and the choice of transport mode, especially in urban areas; notes that the social distancing introduced as part of sanitary measures in the EU has led citizens to take up mobility options other than public transport in order to avoid gatherings of people and infection with COVID-19;
