Calls on the EU to support Africa’s ambitions of creating a genuine intra- African market andand its Member States to support existing regional integration initiatives, including a CFTA, through the tool of Aid for Trade, which should help facilitate the establishment or development of domestic productive capacity, reduce income inequality in Africa and assist with economic diversification and technology transfers; asks the Commission to avoid taking steps which might hinder these ambitions;
