Acknowledges the significant efforts made by the Indian authorities with a view to combating all forms of discrimination, including caste-based; notes with concern, however, that caste- based discrimination continues to be a source of abuse, and encourages India’s authorities, therefore, to strengthen their efforts to eradicate this violation of human rights; encourages India, furthermore, to ensure full protection of minorities, in particular religious and ethnic ones; welcomes that India's Supreme Court ordered to reinvestigate the trials of anti- Christian violence in 2008 and to adequately compensate the victims;
