Stresses the fundamental role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in ensuring sustainable economic growth both in the European Union and around the world; urges the Commission to adopt a new non-legislative strategy on CSR that establishes stronger reporting and compliance requirements, and urges the Member States to endorse the promotion of CSR.
