Welcomes the Commission's aim of promoting open science, notably through the initiatives on the European Open Science Cloud and the Open Science Policy Platform; notes that a comprehensive approach to open science is necessary, which encompasses infrastructure, interoperability, the update of legislation to facilitate the re-use of research results, as well as the involvement of the open science community, including citizen scientists;
