Emphasises that the CAP is the largest share of the EU budget, accounting for around 40% of total spending, and for the most part is comprised of direct subsidies to farmers and landowners; stresses that subsidising EU farmers can distort trade to the disadvantage of the agricultural sector in developing countries; urges the Commission to recognise in their upcoming 2017 report on PCD that the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is partially incoherent with the SDGs target goal 2b and goal 8 on inclusive growth;
