Is fully aware that progress in AI will have to be paired with public investment in infrastructure, training in digital skills, major improvements in connectivity in order to come to full fruition; takes note of the intensive patenting activity taking place in the transport sector when it comes to AI; expresses its concern that this may result in massive litigation that will be detrimental to the industry as a whole; if we do not legislate urgently at European level;
