Notes that virtual currency companies can be organized and operated from anywhere in the world, over the internet; maintains that in this area of technology there is a danger of losing important innovation to other parts of the world; asks the Commission and member states to work with VC companies to avoid overregulation in order to keep the EU attractive as a location for R&D and the operation of these technologies;
