Ea. whereas the constant exodus of women from rural areas has an adverse impact not only on the social infrastructure, for example because of the loss of many women who engage in voluntary activities, but also on the labour market, and whereas this exodus can only be halted if a framework is created in which women can achieve their personal and professional goals in rural areas;

K. whereas in 2014 women were responsible for about 35 % of total working time in agriculture, carrying out 53.8 % of part-time work and 30.8 % of full-time work, thereby making a significant contribution to agricultural production, but at the same time bearing the principal burden of unpaid domestic and care work; whereas work carried out by spouses and other female family members on farms may constitute ‘invisible work’ and their economic independence is therefore not adequately secured;
