(da) 'permaculture' shall be defined as an interdisciplinary science which consciously designs and maintains agricultural systems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. They are reflective of nature's patterns and long term systems of management. Paramount to those systems are the enhancement of biodiversity, a balanced water and nutrient cycling, and the increase of soil fertility and organic content.
